Classic Wooden Bowls get a TrEnvy Makeover

We all remember visiting our friends and family at parties and Xmas time when these random chesse, crackers and chip bowls came out and were placed on the table in various shapes of fruit, like pears and pineapples.. some large and some small, well they live in the cupboard all year until those special events. Well TrEnvy has decided these bowls need a makeover and the more I find and buy the more inspired I get to transform these poor old diamonds in the rough.

So starts the work on my little diamonds in the rough...so far sanded and undercoated......
in a various array of colours.

Hot Fluro Pink inside...

The Golden Pineapple...

with a yellow/green coated atop of the gold...

This is eggplant then coated in gold....more to come...

Classic in crisp white.....

Still creating and once finished the TrEnvy Reveal will happen!

TrEnvy Dining Table & Furniture get a makeover...

So I am on school holidays for 2 weeks with my son and although we have had loads to do I can't help myself but give myself new projects...this one a major one........giving the dining room furniture a huge make over...firstly it really was my cup of tea originally so when my son River was born I thought I'd do a little makeover by giving the seats a different colour to keep him happy...but he is 6 now and it's time to get it to how I originally pictured it... here's a few pictures of the before upon recovering the chairs...now don't laugh! I know you can't help but laugh...but wait till you see the finished product of what TrEnvy Australia can do.... in the pictures it shows only 4 chairs but there are 6 chairs and table...I've decided to go Black Satin..yes Satin..no gloss...that will come with the fabric to adorn the chairs. I suppose the colour would be fine if you lived on the beach, excluding the fabric colour scheme, but our son was 2 when I originally recovered and it was the first time I had recovered anything.....

So for this mottled green colour to Black Satin...I have yet to finish but will keep all updated to the finished product....so far so good. Today the 27th September was quite windy and it appeared it was going to rain I only got 2 chairs done I'm hoping tomoz will be a better day to get more done... here's hoping.

First coat of Black Satin

The chairs already start to look so different...Love them yeh?
Then later on in the afternoon my better half Mel and I along with my son River decide to go fabric hunting...which I think was a huge success..although I decided on swatches of various kinds if gave me an idea of which way I wanted to go..I am lovin the muted satins...I think there is much more elegance to them and will suit our needs thru the year. Would love to know what you think..please post comments..will keep you updated on the TrEnvy Australia proceedings...Bye for now. TeePs

TrEnvy Australia 80's Cube Coffee Table Makeover

So TrEnvy Australia has been busy over the last week re-modelling and giving makeovers to bought pieces for the TrEnvy Australia website. The first was this 80's Cube Coffee table, when I bought the chrome corner pieces were badly pitted and discoloured, the overall look was not to bad but with some elbow grease and a little love I knew I could bring it back to life..

Pulled the table to pieces and noticing the wood pieces weren't in bad condition I thought it best to start on the Chromed plastic corner pieces...you can see the greening, pitted spots that need to be removed.
I use my secret agent together with good old elbow grease and quickly notice how amazing they come up!

Easy 80's construction....

WOW...they look almost brand new! So I still deciding what colour to paint the wood I thought I'd just connect the pieces back up and wait till I've made my decision on colour.

Looks amazing...those corners shine like new.

The chromes sparkles under the flash of the camera... I'm now thinking Red Gloss maybe just what the Doctor ordered...a perfect Xmas table perhaps..keep you posted...
